Haier India Manufacturing

Haier India initiated the manufacturing of refrigerators in India in 2007 at its factory in Ranjangaon, Pune, which was further expanded into the company’s first industrial park in India. Inaugurated in November 2017, the industrial park has an annual production capacity of 1.8 million units of refrigerators and .5 million units each of other categories such as Washing Machines, Air Conditioners, LED TVs, and Water Heaters.

In 2015, Haier Bottom Mounted Refrigerator won the ‘Product of the Year’ award in the refrigerator category resulting from a multi-step process which initiated with a judging panel conducting extensive review tests of the product, which was followed by door-to-door research facilitated by Nielsen, the world’s largest research company, with 18,000 consumers in over 24 markets in India. Haier has also been felicitated with ‘The Most Energy Efficient Appliance’ award by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) – Ministry of Power, Government of India at National Energy Conservation Awards (NECA) in 2022 for adopting sustainable and environment-friendly ways of manufacturing and delivering to ensure minimal impact on our surroundings and planet.

Haier has setup one of the biggest Industrial Parks in India, situated at H-06, DMIC Integrated Industrial Township, Greater Noida, Gautam Buddha Nagar, U.P., to produce home appliances and its related components. The company has its manufacturing units and the corporate office on the same premises. Haier has generated both direct and in-direct employment and catered to the development of the surrounding area. The industrial park is spread over 122 acres of land, having a manufacturing capacity of Air Conditioner – 1 mn Nos./Year, Refrigerator – 2 mn Nos./Year, and Washing Machine- 1 mn/Year.
